Konferences materiāli
Sabiedriskās politikas centrs PROVIDUS un Latvijas Universitātes Sociālo un politisko pētījumu institūts 16. un 17.novembrī rīkoja konferenci “Integrācijas politikas neskaidrā nākotne Centrālajā un Austrumeiropā”. Konferencē uzmanība tika pievērsta integrācijas politikas problēmām Austrumu un Centrālajā Eiropā un ekonomiskās krīzes ietekmei uz tām. Dalībnieki diskutēja arī par ksenofobijas un populisma problēmām jaunajās ES dalībvalstīs krīzes laikā, kā arī demogrāfijas un migrācijas nākotnes tendencēm un par to, kādas pārmaiņas būtu nepieciešamas Latvijas migrācijas politikā.
Piedāvājam iepazīties ar konferences dalībnieku – pētnieku no Eiropas augstskolām un politikas analītiķu – skatījumu uz šiem jautājumiem prezentācijās.

On 16 and 17 November 2009 Centre for Public Policy PROVIDUS and Advanced Social and Political Research Institute of the University of Latvia organized the international conference “Inclusion Unaffordable? The Uncertain Fate of Integration Policies and the Demonisation of Minorities and Migrants in Central and Eastern Europe”. The conference aimed to assess the problems of integration policies in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe under current financial pressures. The participants also addressed the issues of xenophobia and the deficit of pluralist political discourse in new EU member states.
The conference brought together researchers from think-tanks and universities, media, politicians, civil servants, policy-makers, and members of the public to assess new challenges to integration policies and to pluralist political discourse in Eastern Europe in the times of economic crisis.
