Sanda Liepiņa is a highly regarded professional with extensive experience in finance, economics, education, and other policy areas, with a focus on good governance and change management both in Latvia and internationally. She has previously led the Finance Latvia Association, worked for more than 20 years in various roles at the World Bank Group and the International Finance Corporation, headed the Ministry of Education and Science as State Secretary, and, as Vice President of the Latvian Employers’ Confederation, was responsible for tripartite dialogue on budget and financial matters. She has also served as an advisor to the Minister of Finance on policy issues and continues to chair the Internal Audit Committee as a member of the Council of Riga Technical University.
Sanda is a results-oriented leader with extensive experience in policy development, coordination, and implementation of reforms in an international environment, including in European and Central Asian countries, as well as in Asia and Oceania. She has regularly carried out large-scale change management projects both in Latvia and internationally, demonstrating excellent skills in strategic planning, business development, organizational change project management, and implementation of reform plans. She has broad knowledge of investment promotion, structuring of investment projects, fundraising, and the regulatory and business environment in Latvia, European and Central Asian countries, Asia and Oceania, as well as elsewhere.
