The project "Latvia's Development Vectors - Discussion Cycle" aims to strengthen civil society and democracy in Latvia by creating space for meaningful, data-based discussion on issues essential to the country's long-term development. At a time when public distrust of state institutions is growing, and challenges exist in long-term development planning, regional cohesion, the integration of newcomers, and the effectiveness of public administration, the project offers structured dialogue between non-governmental organizations, local community representatives, municipalities, public administration and policymakers.

The goal of the discussion series is not only to bring these topics into public discourse, but also to promote public participation and critical thinking, transforming the experiences and opinions of various groups into concrete, evidence-based proposals for national development.

The project will implement four thematic public discussions in a hybrid format, covering all of Latvia. As part of the project, preliminary research on target groups will be conducted, introductory expert analyses will be prepared, and after each discussion, summaries with conclusions and policy recommendations will be produced, made available to both decision-makers and the wider public. The discussion series serves as a practical tool for strengthening the voice of civil society, promotes cooperation between NGOs and the public sector, and contributes to the sustainable, democratic development of Latvia.
