Year: 2014
Funding: EEA Financial Mechanism 2009-2014 Program „NGO Project Measure”
Language: English, Latvian

What exactly does “early prevention” mean and what is its role within the everyday life of specialists from educational institutions and law enforcement agencies, for providers of social services as well as for the parents and children themselves? What is the legal framework of a child becoming a victim within criminal proceedings? Mediation as a tool for Lithuanian police – what are the main conclusions after implementation of the pilot project in Lithuania? What kind of early prevention approaches are used in Bulgaria?

Those and other questions were addressed by specialists from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Belgium and Bulgaria at the conference Social Inclusion: Preventive Measures of Children’s Anti-social Behaviour” which took place on 27-28 November 2013 (presentations from the conference are available here).

A compilation of specialists’ articles, including their answers to the abovementioned questions is now available in Conference Report in Latvian and English.

The publication was performed in the framework of the project Reducing youth at risk numbers: modeling early childhood intervention approaches, which is financed by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway in framework of NGO Project Measure. NGO Project Measure is financed with financial support from EEA Financial Mechanism and Republic of Latvia.
