This project aims to create an integration evaluation mechanism that could be used for improving integration policies and practices for refugees and beneficiaries of international protection at the national level in the respective project countries (Bulgaria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom).
Measuring and improving integration of beneficiaries of international protection

The results of the project will clarify what type of integration policies are most relevant and needed for societal outcomes and immigrant beneficiaries, especially vulnerable groups such as refugees and asylum seekers. Considering that the participating States will represent various regions of Europe (with similarities in terms of refugee population and adopted policy solutions), it is believed that the results could be of interest to stakeholders in other EU Member States. The policy transfer to other, non-participating States, will certainly be made easier as the action will propose, test and refine a set of integration indicators that could be applied in other countries.
Type and number of outputs:
- Each partner organization will organize two national events after each evaluation stage (app. 20 to 50 participants per each event depending on the chosen concept of the meeting – conference, seminar or round-table discussion).
- The Institute of Public Affairs (leader) will organize a European event after each evaluation stage (app. 100 participants x 2 events).
- Each partner organization will organize app. three coalition meetings per a year (app. 10 - 25 participants per each meeting) involving representatives of partner organizations, public institutions, academia, NGOs, migrant organizations and beneficiaries themselves to update the policies, legal framework and plan advocacy strategies.
- Establish and maintain contacts with journalists, which will result in app. 5 media outputs per year in each country.
- Prepare 15 national progress reports (appearing twice - at the end of 2018 and 2020) to be posted online (in full) and published (as a summary).
- Prepare a country chapter of the baseline report (beginning of 2017) to be posted online and published.
